OVERVIEW
Extruded plexiglass offers ease of manipulation, allowing for bending, cutting, gluing, polishing, and thermoforming, which makes it well-suited for various applications such as greenhouse glazing, shed and garage window installation, or indoor uses. Due to its lower melting point compared to cast acrylic, extruded acrylic is more cost-effective and simpler to cut and shape, while still providing ample strength for residential and commercial projects.
These transparent sheets are moisture-resistant and approximately half the weight of glass, making them highly practical. Moreover, extruded acrylic boasts superior clarity compared to glass and remains resistant to yellowing even after prolonged exposure to sunlight, thanks to its resistance to ultraviolet light degradation. Additionally, if the surface gets scratched, it can be easily polished back to its original optical clarity.
